Hi,

I am currently using two 24" Samsung tv/monitors but I want to change to one. I don't do any gaming but do a lot of photo editing and probably going to start printing some of my images so I am looking for the best accurate colour display. I know I need to go for an IPS screen but not sure on refresh rate etc ?

What is the difference between these two monitors apart from the refresh rate, why is the larger one cheaper ?

Are there any others I should be looking at ? £500-£600 is my maximum budget really.

The 34WN80C is 60Hz and IPS.

The 35WN65C is 100Hz (or 85Hz over HDMI) and VA.

There is also a 35WN75C which is 100Hz (or 85Hz over HDMI) and VA. Not sure what the difference is between that and the 65C. I was looking at these today before ruling all of them out for not being 120Hz over HDMI (in case I get a console).

Also the IPS screen (80C) has a 1800R curve and the two VA screens have a 1500R curve (more curved).

The two VA are rated at typ 2500:1 contrast and the IPS rated as typ 1000:1 contrast. All pretty standard stuff for those panels.

These are all really new screens I think (Q3 2020 ish) and there aren't many/any reviews for them.

I would think really carefully before getting an ultra wide screen for photo editing, straight lines can look distorted and it will drive you up the wall looking at distorted horizon lines.

maybe look at a 32inch screen or even better 2 27inch monitors. This is what I use and it works great, Lightroom or capture one on one screen and photoshop open on the other screen or use lightroom in 2 screen mode with thumbnails on one and the photo you are editing full screen on the other display.
