I had a E7500 CPU and the temps on that were fine (low 30c)

I upgraded to a Q8200 now my CPU temps are running 50c, I have got a coolermaster heatsink and i have applied fresh paste 3/4 times and still getting the same temps, Now here is the confusing part.

On the ASUS AI Suite and in BIOS the CPU temp is low 30c
On CPU-z/Speccy and other programs the temp is in 50c

What would you say is the correct temperature?

I have no problems with the computer at all runs fine

They seem like pretty standard temperatures to me, even at 50. It's a quad core, it's going to produce a heck of a lot more heat than a dual core, especially in this warm weather.

Do i need to worry about anything?, When i sued prime95 it did reach the 70c mark but i'm just confused with why i'm getting 2 readings.

I would say that you have stuck sensors on that cpu. Every 45nm socket 775 cpu that i had suffered from them. While at idle or light load they are stuck at 50 degrees because they can't read any lower. Once they exceed the temperature they are stuck at they come into use as you have found when running prime. Don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do about it anyway.

Thanks i'll try not to worry! i have bought a new PSU so i'm going to overclock i was my current CPU but why would my BIOS and ASUS AI suite say my CPU temp is 30c?
