Hi guys, sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I was looking at some of the powerline adapters and i'm getting a bit confused.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-094-TP

The description is: "TP-LINK 500Mbps Mini Powerline Adapter Starter KIT TL-PA411KIT turn your existing powerline into a high speed network with no need for new wires or drilling."

But the specification states 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port

Am I right in saying that this would only give me max of 100?

Yes, with a 10/100mbps port on it, the maximum you will ever get is 100mbps.

The speed of these powerline adapters is the maximum attainable speed between the units in ideal conditions - you will never get the advertised speed (much like wireless) due to interference.

Cheers for this. Was just double checking in case I was missing something.

Just seems a bit like false advertising, especially for folk who aren't IT literate.
