So I started building some new Citrix servers a few weeks back (Xenapp 5.0 on 2008 x64 standard) and have been testing them on our thin clients - Wyse V10Ls with ThinOS.
Have had no problems getting the clients to connect while testing, today I got 2 users (1 per server!) logged in to do a bit of guinea pig testing. Was all working well until I tried to connect another user towards the end of the day - it wouldnt connect and none of the other clients will connect either.
The screen just goes black - occasionally the progress bar with "Please wait for the local session manager" flashes up, but never gets a login screen. After about 30s it disconnects with nothing logged in the thin client or the server event log.
When I've seen issues like this before, it's been MTU/black hole router related or licensing. It's on the same LAN as the server so no black hole router and we're using user CALs not device CALs so I dont think it's licensing.
Windows clients connect fine, so it's not an inherant problem with the servers. Have tried reinstalling rebooting, changing switch ports, reinstalling citrix, un-teaming the NICs with no joy... They still connect fine to the old Win2k3 servers so I'm completely stumped!
Anyone have any ideas?
