Hi all.

Firstly if mods think this should be in the games console section, feel free to move it.

I have a Samsung ue55es8000 led tv.

The tv is wall mounted, with 3 hdmi cables running from behind the tv, through 5 meters of wall, and back out at the base of the wall where the av rack is. Unfortunately, the cables are sealed in, and getting them out will mean a lot of work, and I've just finished decorating :p

I know all 3 hdmi connections work on my tv, as the BD player is recognised on all 3, from the same hdmi lead.

Here's the problem:

I have a Wii, with a hdmi adapter, connected to the 2nd hdmi lead (which I know works, as I've hooked the BD player up with it, and there's full signal.)

When plugged into the Wii, and selecting the correct source, I get the NO SIGNAL screen on the tv.
Funnily enough, is that it's worked once, but then never again.
Where do you think the problem lies?

When using the third hdmi cable, the tv doesn't even recognise that there's a cable plugged in, so I think the third cable is dead :( maybe a problem caused by routing it through the wall.

Ok I've tried a reset but it hasn't helped.

I'm using the Wii2hdmi adapter. Is it possible that I'm using the wrong type of hdmi cable? I'm using a hdmi high speed with Ethernet cable.

I also set the output mode of the Wii the its highest setting. But this didn't help either.

There's a blue led which lights up on the Wii2hdmi adapter, so I don't think that's dead.

Right, I connected the Wii up to the tv with the standard component cable. The result is a picture, but it's grey. From here, it won't let me select the HDTV screen option on the Wii. So.....

If I connect the Wii to the tv using the 5 component cable as opposed to the 3, then change the screen mode to HDTV, then swap back over to hdmi cable, I should be in luck? Maybe?

:D
