Hi guys,

It has been a while since I looked at purchasing a new computer, but needs must. I'm just getting back into the scene of pc tech; I currently own a desktop which I use for games, photo editing, word processing, I am also looking into web site building. The issue is that I would like a note book which allows me to do all the above.

Fast gpu, cpu, large memory (maybe 12gig), 17.3" screen, any smaller and I think eye strain would ensue.

I do love my games even though at the tender age of 38 I should know better.:p

My current setup (desktop) is as follows:

Intel Core i7 950 @4ghz
12 gig mem
1tb hd
Evga gtx 680
24" Samsung Monitor

Any further info needed and I will try to assist.

I have been looking at the MSI brand, fast gpu, cpu, large memory etc.

My budget is about £900, might be able to push a little more.

If you guys can help me out with what would be best for me, that would be great!

Cheers

I like the look of the MSI GS70 personally and I think it would fulfil all of your criteria though it is possibly slightly (£100-300) over your budget depending on which model you go for. If I needed a laptop right now I think I'd go for a GS60 as I prefer the more compact form factor for carrying it.

Would be interesting to hear from anyone who's had hands on experience of the MSI GS range?

Thank you for the reply.:)
