Hi all,

If I create an album within the photos app on my Mac, and drop in some photos, should they appear on my iPhone?

Also, what am I meant to have checked as sync settings within iTunes?

1)Yes, the album and photo's contained will show up in the iPhone as well as any other linked device.

2) Photo sync settings are disabled in iTunes once you have activated the iCloud photo library on your iPhone. Sync happens when you are connected to wifi (and maybe plugged in, i'm not sure on that one)

I use my iMac to manage all my albums and photos, all the connected devices update to my test iMac edit without any fuss.

Ah, it seems the iCloud setting on my phone had somehow disabled itself. I don't remember disabling it!

I take it that it doesn't matter if I create albums, all the pics will go toward my iCloud storage?

Cheers. I'll have to sit down tonight and sort through it all, I've had a bit of a nightmare since the release, duplicated photos etc. I thought I'd fixed it, evidently not.

Yeah, I had to manually go through and sort duplicates, its supposed to check on import regarding them but i still had a load. No option's to automatically check after import either.

I've worked it out. I turned off iCloud photo's when I had a load of duplicates. I then sync'd the library with iTunes rather than turning the option back on. It's now sync'd everything correctly.
