Confusion over Potenza RE050A

I wish there was a tyre out there with the feedback of an RE050A, but the wet weather performance and ride comfort of an CS3/5.

You are never going to get amazing feedback but fantastic ride quality surely as they both require different properties?

I guess, but they do all sorts of weird and wonderful things with tyres these days. For instance, having good performance tyres used to mean tyres which had high rolling resistance and which wore out quickly, such as the first Eagle F1, but now Assymmetric 2 has gone some way to addressing these issues. Example 2: third generation run flat tyres are meant to be closer than ever to the ride quality of regular tyres. No idea how they've done it!

What are Michelin PSS's like? Good feedback? Good wet grip?

I've just ordered two RE002.

Fitting on Thursday, they've got to be better than the old Hankook's on the front.

I've got standard RE050's on the back, which I think I'll keep there as they are a solid tyre.

Nice tread.

Yeah RE010's are stiff but they are old and the tread pattern is pump.

The tyres aren't scrubbed in yet, but there's lots of grip, lots and lots of it, and they feel good.
