Confusion with cables...

I wasn't sure what to call the title but anyway here's the problem.

Basically, my case is an Antec 1200, it has a stock of 6 fans. My modular PSU only has 2 modular connection slots where I could put the fans, the cables which came with the PSU (2 for fan) allows me to put 2 fans onto one cable, but I'll still be left with 2 fans missing. Would it be safe to put a splitter for one cable each to put 3 fans on one cable? It's already got 2 per cable. Is this.. Do-able? Sorry for any problems if you need any further information I will be happy to oblige.

P.s. my psu is 750W, the box says dual rail design and ATX12V V2.2 Design guide compatible (no idea if that's any help).

Yep, you can just use splitters for the fans. You could probably run a few harddrives as well as all those fans on one cable from the PSU. There was a thread a while back and the general thought was that you could power all the fans you would want from 1 cable. They use so little power it doesn't really matter. :)

Thankyou, the fans just have molex connectors (4pin), the actual fans (they have LED's on them) don't come with the 3 or 4 pin motherboard connections, but one of my psu cables do, the psu cable has a 4-pin motherboard connection and my motherboard only supports 3-pins. I assume it isn't necessary to plug them into the motherboard unless you want fan temperatures? Thanks to the people above for all the useful information!
