Confusion

Right, I was all set to buy a new graphics card a few weeks ago then they started being released left, right and centre which has now left me lost with what's best for me.

My Spec:

Q6600
Abit IP35 Pro XE Intel P35
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
Dell 228WFP

I use the machine for everything right now, Movies, COD4 and Graphic Design, I would like to be able to play COD4 on high settings @ 1680x1050.

I was going to buy an 8800GT before all these new cards but now I'm thinkin either a 4850 or a 4870.

Any help is appreciated.

4850 for £125-£140 the price of the 4870's just isn't worth it at the moment and by the time you'd need a 4870 for 1680-1050 something better will be out.

Sorry I meant are any of the 4850's a step above the rest? Last ATI card I had was by Sapphire and of course I know Asus make quality hardware.

No m8, they're all much of a muchness atm. Any will serve u well, choose the one with best warranty period

Do any of the cards (4850/70's) come with a game?
Since all the cards from all the different companies are pretty much identical, maybe a bundled game could swing the descision.
