Hello Everyone

Just confussed on Vista. Hopefully, I will be upgrading but wondered if they will allow you to transfer for your Operating System to a new system (When you buy one). I remember reading it sticks to your current motherboard or will that just be the OEM Version? If not, I'm going to have to buy a better computer before Vista.

Many Thanks

Larnica :)

Transfer of the OEM version of Vista will be against the terms of the EULA.
If you are planning to upgrade your PC wait until Vista is released and do a clean install on a new PC

Ah, cool

So if you buy the Retail it would be transferable? :D

and if i buy an upgrade version and own a retail XP Pro license, will it be transferable?

I assume if you get an upgrade, you're not allowed to dual boot but are allowed to downgrade, upgrade, downgrade as you will?
