ok here goes, i'm running an athlon 4200 (energy efficient) at stock (multi of 11 and speeds of 2.2) and temps are mid 40's constant, as i run SETI
i'm currently running with a multi of 10, and FSB of 220, and temps are high 30's to low 40's again with SETI running, can anyone explain why at the same speed it gives different temps?

What speed do your fans kick in? I would suggest that as the processor warms from idling, the fan kicks in and keeps the temp at a set level.

fans are constantly on, thou in core center says CPU fan is around 3000RPM, which is a bit higher than it was when running with a multi of 11
