Congestion Charge?

Hi all, thinking about venturing to Earls Court on friday for the MPH 06 show. Whats the dealio with congestion charge here? Google hasnt got me far, just to pictures of the mayor smiling about it. Is it in a congestion area? How much would it be?

How do you pay? Don't really understand the situation, exactly how congested is the A4 likely to be on a friday mid afternoon???

Pay On the day (£8) otherwise goes up a hell of a lot (£50 i think)

Dont think you'll be going through it anywy its only 1 sq mile of central london anyway
