Wasn't sure where to post this but here goes.

Living in Manchester I usually order form you over the web but as I pass by on the M6 frequently, I decided to pop in yesterday for some gskill zx3200.

Although the site wasn't the easiest to find, I was served quickly and curteously and to top it all, I was not punished with a credit card surcharge for visiting the store.

The two big manchester operations that I usually use both charge 2.5% and seem to treat customers with derision for actually having the cheek to come in and queue up like cattle (The more well known of the two shops is probably the worst and considering how much money I spend in there, the customer service is appauling)

So a big thumbs up to OCUK and I will be visiting again for my next purchase.

P.S. I have noticed your pricing is much more competitive now as well.

they all do but hide it in the price

look at most super market till slips they say something like " you have agreed to 2.5% being charged by your bank " somthing like that

Yes but people who pay by cash don't pay any less. AFAIK credit card surcharges went out years ago so it seems a strange thing to congratulate OcUK on not using them

I thought the CC handling companies surcharges on CCs only affected the ex VAT price and the inc VAT price stays the same in most places?

I think I know the place in Manchester you refer to that charges the 2.5% regardless, and yes, service there is appauling.

OcUK for the win \o/

My company doesn't, but we're nice like that. :) We don't sell PC bits though...

The 2 companies I refer to charge an extra 2.5% on top of the total if you pay by credit card in the store.

It does not apply when paying on line from them.

I pay cash, always, for PC gear, my reasoning being, if I hav'nt got the spare cash, I cannot afford & should'nt buy such PC goodies! :p

Otherwise, I'd be in MEGA debt :o

With regard to my ability to budget my finances, I could'nt run a bath! :o
