Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

It's not a bad supp. Though you can get a lot of it from low fat soft cheeses like cottage cheese.

Tidy diet and it's not really necessary, what does your nutrition look like at the moment.

Ant

PS, in my view, the only really useful cutting supps are illegal, and the risks don't really outweigh the benefits.

My diet is ok, I'm loosing weight, but I thought I could take these for 1-2 months to help me, then stop using them and continue with my diet.

I thought cheese wqas fatty? How does eating more cheese help me loose weight :p

things like quark and cottage cheese are very low in fat but high in good quality slow release protein

Well my mate and his brother swear by Forza T5 so I have ordered 60 tablets of that.

Will source some cottage cheese as well.

How much cottaqge cheese are you supposed to eat a day?

There's no "supposed" to about anything you eat. There's no "supposed" to about supps. It's all rather individual. Eat it if you want to eat it, if you like it, and when you're hungry for it. Or as a pudding, or a starter, or before bed. It's up to you.

I've been weight training since I was 19, 24 in a week, tried CLA for a bit, tbh jack happened

Eat right, sleep right, cardio right, workout with good form and know when enough's enough

I tried it for 6 weeks whilst on a CKD diet, stopped taking them and it didn't affect the weight loss at all whilst carrying on with the diet.

Thread necro! :D

Since May I've lost 1 stone 4lbs and have toned up pretty damn well, I've even managed to unearth a six pack I never knew existed! :D All that is simply through watching my diet and tracking my macros using MFP plus regular exercise in the form of cycling to work almost every day and splitting that with strength training supplemented with a couple of sessions of Pilates every week. I'm quite chuffed with myself. Currently I take Glucosamine, Fish oil capsules and Creatine Mono. I've just started taking CLA to see if its worth trying - 1500mg tablets with every meal. I'm 5lbs away from my ideal weight and it will be interesting to see if CLA has any impact on my final stretch to it.

Just wondered what folks thoughts on CLA were since the last reply to this thread? Cheers.

The problem is, if you're in a calorie defecit, exercising etc then you'll be losing weight...how do you know if CLA makes any difference? it's placebo at best imo.

CLA has been proven to be next to useless and iirc can actually do more harm than good. Send me the cash instead I'll make sure I put it to good use :D

I'd read that in some trials that CLA didn't really seem to make any difference but I've never seem anything say it does more harm than good? In what way?
