Hi,

Unfortunately I need to send my seagate hard drive back to Overclockers for repair which will take around 28 days.

I was wondering is it possible to connect an old 2.5" SATA hard drive from my laptop and install windows 7 on it for use in my desktop for now?

Thanks

Yes mate you can. SSDs are 2.5inch for example, the drives size isn't important just having the sata connection.

The downside is that Laptop HDDs tend to be slow @5400RPM rather than the desktop drives which are 7200RPM
