Hi guys,

Just looking for a little help.

I've had the above card running in my rig without problems for about a month and a half now, for some reason the other day whilst playing GTA San Andreas something happened (nothing noticeable) and suddenly i get little green pixels dancing around whilst i'm playing, pretty much all over the screen. This also occurs in video play back...i've googled and searched every tech forum but can't find any answer to what this would be.

I'm certain it hasn't overheated, and it's like that from the moment that i turn the computer on, also, in video playback it seems to have vertical green lines.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Well guess what, since yesterday I have noticed red lines flashing every so often across my screen when there is a dark background.

Im hoping this is my screen but if its the card then thats going back. I would RMA yours mate and get a replacement, thats defo not right.

God that must be annoying. I think I would have gone insane or murdered someone by 7 weeks, especially if I was stuck without a PC in the meanwhile, which would be the case if my X1800 XT ever broke. I hope it's not an indication of how many faulty cards Connect3D make if it's taking them that long to test it

Touch wood (well, MDF) mine is still ok.

What is it with the latest generation of ATI and nVidia cards, they seem to be more flakey than cornflakes!! :(

i nearly did go mad... spent a week using a Geforce 2 mx 400 32mb sdram. thankfully a kind friend split his SLi rig and leant me a 7800GT till i get my card back. :)

7 weeks...that's horrendous! I don't know how i'll cope.

How did you go about RMA'ing your card? Did you call or email? I've never done it before so don't really know what to write.

If its from here then you just send a Webnote requesting an RMA, then once received you send the card back, and if found faulty, a new one is shipped out to you, and you get your postage back which you paid to send the card back, takes about 10 days, if its not found to be faulty it gets sent back to you and you pay for the delivery charge again, if its after the 28 days, then you do the same, but once OcUK receive your card they send it back to the manufacturer who then sorts it out, and that could take 28 days or more. :)
