Hi Smart People,
Appologies if this has already been asked, but i did a quick search and nothing exact came up.
Feel free to point me in the right direction.

I have a TP-Link VR900 Modem Router which uses wifi 5.
Now i have connected a TP-Link RX605X repeater (using wifi) which uses wifi 6 and has most of the latest tech (2×2 MU-MIMO).
Different SSID's.

Let's just say i've got the repeater 2 metres away from the router with direct line of sight, so the signal is pretty good (not perfect i know).

Question: would it be better to connect all my wifi devices through the repeater because it has the latest tech (wifi 6 and MIMO)? Therefore the repeater is the only thing connected to the router.
Or should i continue to connect direct to the router and use the repeater to strengthen my wifi signal?

I know going through the repeater my latency will drop, but i'm only web browsing and streaming video.

I have a couple of wifi 6 devices (Samsung S10 phone), and i believe older wifi devices can still make use of the MIMO

Thanks for your advice.

Joe
