Hi, this should be simple...

I've never worked out if it's possible to connect to a device on a different LAN that has a wired link somewhere.

There's a switch connecting a NAS(192.168.3.xxx), LAN1(192.168.3.xxx) and LAN2 (192.168.0.xxx)

I want a machine on 192.168.0.xxx to connect to the NAS, is there a simple shortcut route I can configure? The LANs are segregated for a reason so I'd rather not change the current setup.

Is this possible?

Cheers.

Small building, over two floors. Consumer grade hardware, consumer grade IT manager (me). I control it all, LAN2 and LAN1 are on different floors.

The device I want to see the NAS from is connected to a DLink DIR-655. The DLINK itself has an IP of 192.168.3.xxx given to it by LAN1, but hands out an IP via DHCP (LAN2) to the device on 192.168.0.xxx .

I tried to set up the DLINK in bridge mode to use the DHCP server of LAN1 but apparently this is not possible in the latest firmware. Without looking right now, I don't think a VLAN is possible with this hardware.
