Connect FTTC Modem to Router via Homeplugs?

Hi all,

So I finally had my Plusnet Fibre installed yesterday.

The BT Master Socket is in the back bedroom and this is connected to the BT Openreach Modem.

I then have the 'LAN 1' port connected to a homeplug.

The second homeplug (in another bedroom) is connected to my Billion Router (EWAN port) - and the setup is working.

However - I need to have other Homeplug(s) on the LAN side.

So effectively, this is like having two networks over the mains wiring (via homeplugs)

...is it 'ok' to do this?

Thanks

I think speeds should go down a bit, but otherwise be OK. The plugs are supposed to sync to each other and then ignore other signals. So if you had two pairs, sync'ed together separately, it should work. Worth a go.

Should work but I'd just put the router next to the modem and keep all the homeplugs after it which would seem much more straight forward.
