Connect PC to TV

Hey. So I just got a new desktop as well as a HD TV not so long ago, and was wondering what is the best way to connect them to maintain the best video and sound quality. What cables would be needed? Both are new, so the TV has HDMI and VGA (I think). So just VGA to VGA cable, or is there anything else to keep better quality. Wanted to ask quickly before I rushed out and got it.

you can get a dvi to hdmi adaptor

best to stay digital if possible

thats the way i've done it, but depending on your graphics card, if you can't go hdmi to hdmi you might need to link sound from the pc to ther tv as well.

well as per user1453 you should be able to connect up via dvi to hdmi.
