Ill be honest and say I have googled this, but although the consensus of responses are saying 'not possible'... there are some that lead me to believe that there is a chance it is.
What I am looking to do is connect my PS3 to my Laptop via the HDMI port on the laptop, and then use the Laptop screen to display the PS3 game.
Now im not a technical guru so to me it would seem simple, but what im reading is that the HDMI port on Computers is for output only (ie to display whats on my laptop onto a TV) and will not accept input... ie a PS3.
How can I tell by the port if my HDMI port accepts input? Are the connectors different in anyway and/or if i did stick the PS3 HDMI cable in there would it short the port and cause any damage?
I do have 2 HDTVs and the PS3 is hooked up to one, but im lazy and sometimes fancy porting the PS3 to wherever im sat with on my laptop
