connect to network problems and UPNP

hi. i am connected to my mates max (OSx) and am on vista.

he is connected to me via my second LAN adaptor.

i cannot see him, nor send files to him.

how can i do this. i am running the vista secret admin.

Also through a LAN i have connected my PS3. but it cannot get UPNP through the LAN, and therefore i cannot stream media to the PS3.

can anyone help me?

We went to wherethe option to check the box for that is, but we couldn't find an option for that. He has osx.

ahh well i gave him my IP and he can take files from my public folder so all is good on that front.

anyhelp for the PS3?

I'm using the windows firewall. As for router, I am connected to the second LAN port on my mobo. I then bridge the connections for it to share net. Going o line with the ps3 works as does online gaming but not streaming media and upnp. My net coMes from the university of York
