I'm wanting to connect a Computer and a TV audio (3.5mm) to the same speakers.
I have a Y cable with 2 female 1 male but it doesn't work.
Is it possible to do this or?
Connecting the TV to the computer and using Listen to this device is not an option due to static interference (the computer is causing the static but I can't see why or how)

Splitter should work, unless that one in particular has a problem.

Either that or an audio switch box. Many come with RCA connectors, so you'd need some RCA to 3.5mm adaptor cables.

Third option would be to connect to a 'line in' on the PC. If you're getting static though...

The cable I have is like this one

Sound comes out If i connect it to the one labeled with a headphone, but the mic one doesnt'

Came with my headset.
Looking around on....you know where, they have different decriptions, some say its to connect two devices to 1 audio source and some say its to connect 2 audio sources to 1 device.

sounds like it feeds sound into one split (headset) and and takes it from another (mic).
i.e. it takes 1 "aux" cable for 2 separate functions if that makes sense
I would say look on ebay for what you need, probs a few quid!

Ah. You've got the wrong type of splitter that's needed for this to work.

The ones that come with headsets which have separate microphone and headphone jacks, combine them into one jack, which can be used with maybe a console gamepad, smartphone or tablet; devices that have headphone and microphone combination output. It should have what is called a 4 pole jack, so 4 segments.

What you need is one of these which is stereo (3 pole) on all connectors.

You need the right type though, as there are different variations.
