I have two PC's and a PS3 in the same room. ATM only one pc is connected to the network as I only have one wireless adapter. I would like all 3 connected to the network. To save myself some money is it possible to connect two routers together wirelessly so that the one in my room is acting as a switch allowing the two PCs and PS3 to be hardwired to it?

If this is possible would the 108Mbps of bandwith be limiting?

Hope this makes sense.

It depends whether the second router can be switched into 'access point' mode. The 108Mbs is not an issue as that's between the routers and an enormously misleading figure anyway. You'll actually have 100Mbs through the switch section of the second router. The wireless link only needs to be faster than your internet connection and I think that's likely to be true....

If you must use wireless another solution, and probably easier would be to buy a Wireless bridge, or an access point that can be put into bridge mode then just plug that into a cheap 5 port switch and cable up the 2pc's and the PS3.

Or get hold of a couple of powerline adapters and use those to link the two rooms and then put a small switch in the second room. That would be the way I would go about doing it anyway as the powerline connection is normally more reliable and faster than the majority of wireless setups. I use the 200mbit rated solwise adapters and can get about 54Mbps throughput from them, that should be more than adequate for most needs, unless you are going to be copping seriously large files.
