Has anyone connected a PCI Express ATI Radeon X800XT to a HDMI port on a TV?
I've read that the graphics card has DVI-I output & that it's not HDCP compliant so it will not be possible to connect it to a HDMI port on a LCD & expect a picture?

The LCD in question is a Sony X Series.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's looking like a case of changing my TV or upgrading my graphics card.

Any suggestions of a cheap replacement card would be appreciated if I do have an incompatibilty issue. I'm not interested in gaming on the PC anymore I would simply want to be able to utilise 1:1 pixel mapping via HDMI as the TV does not support 1:1 pixel mapping over any other source.

Your videocard doesn't have to be HDCP, that's only when you go into HD-DVD. I don't have that TV but on some LCD TV's you can use HTPC to a LCD, DVD-HDMI cable. Ideally want to do 1:1

I'm now reading about DVI-A this is getting confusing as hell!

Not interested in HD DVD or Blu Ray via PC as the PS3 will take care of that I just wan to be ablt to use iTunes, browse the web & use office on my TV via HDMI. I'm beginning to hate technology - It's too technical!!!
