Connect3D ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB

every connect 3d card i have owned has been a good clocker and a great product overall.

Gibbo has more than likely just got a great deal with Connect 3d hence the price :). wont be inferior

Looks like an excellent price that, there's definately nothing wrong with it. Connect3D are a good brand. Remember that all ATI boards are the same, just different coolers and slightly different clock speeds ;). How long do you expect to keep the card before upgrading again?

I went for a 512MB for the only reason that it gives it more umpf for some of the games to be released later in the year and even though they are DX9 cards with the more ram it will be better for handling DX10 games than 256MB!

on offer this week, cant find any reviews was wondering if any knows if its any good. it seems to be so much cheaper than other cards with a similar spec which doesnt make sense.

cheers :p
Thats a great price & a great card.
You may not get heaps of extra software or games with it, but you will get a really good card with the essentials.

In the next few months i wouldn't, Feb sees the 320mb 8800 GTS (supposedly), which is coming into 7900/x1950 territory price wise, some are saying £200 or less, will be a lot faster than the x1950pro/x1950 XT/x1950 XTX, and also the low/mid range cards are coming (8600's etc..), so if the 320mb GTS does come out then, then i certainly wouldn't buy any ATi card then, not when you could get a next gen 8 series card for around same prices :)

valued point bud.

guess it depends on your price ceiling and if you want to wait?

I personally rate the ATi card in the back for buck stakes :)
