Connected but not working

Hey guys, I I have a wag320n linksis router. And it connect to the Internet but it will not work. I can't look anything up aether its wired or wireless. This happened about 2 weeks ago also and I ended up resetting the router to factory defaults. I also upgraded the firmware to the latest. Was working perfect. But no more. Reset it tonight again but no go. It's connected and gets all the details on the status page. My isp is BT and I even tried open dns setting just in case but also didn't help. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check it isn't a DNS issue by pinging 212.58.241.131 (the BBC), and then pinging bbc.co.uk. Do you get replies in either case?

Just checked there but no workey on both ip or address. No response from host. On the status page of the router it gets all the details like ip and dns and gateway. All the correct lights are on, on the router. Just upgraded the firmware again but still no different.

The OP is a bit vague as to the symptoms. Can you clarify exactly what happens, it works fine then suddenly stops? then you can still get at the router management page?

Are the DSL Sync and "internet" lights on the router on and green? Does power-cycling the router resolve the issue in the short term?

Can you ping the public IP address on the WAN interface of the router when Internet access fails?
