connecting 2 pc's

ok... so i want to connect my old and new pc's to tranfer the files...

ive connected the two through the lan ports, and its deffinately connected as i can get on the web through my old one and the modem is connected to the new one...


what im having trouble with tho is the files.. how do i do it??

windows dont seem to be very helpful on this

So youve done Internet Connection Sharing.

Both computers are in the same Workgroup?

if both are shared correctly, assuming your new computers name is "new" just open a file explorer window on the old computer and type \\new and hit enter, you will see your other computer
here's an example of me opening the another computer in my office called "itmike"

*edit* i dont actually happen to have any folders shared on that computer, but if i did, they would also appear there
