i want to use 2 power supply's in my new build (mountain mods)

i want these power supply's to be white but they don't seem to do one over 600w so im going to buy 2 and connect them up and use both at the same time.

ill be powering a i7 920 (overclocked) on a rampage 3,6870,ssd (might be 2 1tb hard drives for now)....2 18v pumps,light's and roughly 14 fans with 2 fan controllers.

now i don't think a 600watt power supply will run this lot so ill join the 2 power supply's up and make then run as one.

is there any guide's on how to do this correctly ?

ive seen a video on you tube about connecting the 2xpsu's with the green with from the motherboard 24 pin, just thought i would ask here as well being as there is a lot of intelligent people on here :)

i dont want to paint/fablon the psu as it will void the warrant.

or how about taking it somere that does that plastic suction molding and make a box for it

its definitely possible. i cant remember what its called, but all you need s an adapter that converts the 24 pin motherboard cable to a molex or something, because its the 24 pin that tells the PSU to turn on

I'm sure it's not uncommon for people to run 2 PSU's in the larger GPU rigs - quad fire and triple SLI and the such like... So there must be a way to do it..

I've used 2 PSU's on a previous rig. I just used a spare 24 pin socket and did a break out for the green/black wires.

Quick guide on doing it is here

ive got quite a bit of old psu leads i got from here a while ago for another project,im sure there is 3 or 4 24 pin leads with all the cables still attached.

quick google later has come up with these.

Add2PSU (the one i was thinking of)

look here for more info on both of them: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1698/1/

ps, as far as i can tell the add2PSU site is not a competitor with OcUK because they only sell the add2PSU adapter, but i will happily remove the link if asked

It's possible, the TJ07 has some sort of special 24 pin extension cable that allows you to run two PSU's together (as in allowing them to boot up at the same time).

Just seen above and it's the one that reaper posted, just hook up the PSU's and they'd both start up.
