connecting 2 routers.

Hi.

I have 2 Netgear DG834G V3 routers.

I am trying to connect the one downstairs to this one upstairs via wireless so that the PC downstairs can access the internet, I am unsure how to do this, I cant use the internet cable as then I wont have internet upstairs and a LAN cable wont reach downstairs.

I have bridged them (I think by adding the mac address of the upstairs router to the one downstairs.

Adding the MAC address to what?
You don't need to bridge them, you need one to play wireless client.

How do I do that?

Both are wireless, one is connected to the net, one is not.

I added the MAC addresses to them in "Enable Wireless Bridging and Repeating "

If it's anywhere, it'll be an option in the router's web interface.

As tolien says you need one to act as a "wireless client" most routers won't have this function as it's not what they are designed for. Quite a few WAPs will though.
