Hello all,

As the title suggests I want to connect my 360 to my 22" DELL TFT using the offical VGA cable. The thing is I dont know what type of speakers I will be able to connect to my 360? I have some Logitec X530 5.1 speakers, all I want is stereo sound, Im not fussed about surround sound. Will I need some adapter cables?

I don't know what kind of sound setup you have but normally you'd want to connect the optical on the VGA cable to your amp.

I dont have an amp, just the subwoofer that Logitec X530 has. What are the cheapest speakers I could get that will give me basic sound on my 360?

EDIT: Are the Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 Headset any good?

I had X1's many moons ago which are basically last gen X11's and they were superb.

Think I'll get the Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 headset, but by looking on the diagram I dont understand how the sound comes to the headset, does it need to be plugged into a TV? looking at their instrcutions it seems the audio to the headset comes from the headphone socket of a TV. Obviously my DELL monitor doesnt have one, so how do I go setting this up?... Can the green headphone lead plug into the back of the 360 somehow and get sound from it?

EDIT: Would I plug the two red and white connections from the xbox 360 into the two red and white connections that come with the turtle beach?.. but where would the green headphone one go?

Im sure it had an adapter for the green microphone cable that hooked up to the controller.

I would be able to run through the full set up but I haven't used turtles for a while now.

All you need is 2 RCA females to 3.5mm male to plug it into a headphone jack, look on bay, you can pick them up for about £3

Edit: It might be RCA males you need, been a long time since I used my VGA cable

Thanks but did you read the forum link in the post above yours?

Gor the Turtle BEach today and first impressions are bad. Firstly whenI heard the hissing after plugging it in I instantly thouight "cheap!". Then in game the sounds are tingy and distorted with very little base. Wish there was a Fatal1ty headset equivalent for the 360. Kinda wanna give them back but it's better than no sound... just.
