Connecting 4K monitors using Displayport/Mini DP cables

I think we are all better informed now so it has been a worthwhile exercise.

No because you've taken what we've told you and tried to claim they were your findings, and because of your thread we all now know better. Just no, you were told the information before you started this thread, and most of us haven't learnt anything we didn't already know about display port.

Only loz posted a working solution.

I saw no one post the list in the OP.

I saw a lot of guessing and assuming.

And you contributed nothing useful.

Displayport is a standard proposed by VESA to be a royalty free audio/video connection, all the cables are just cables with the 20 pin DP or DPm plugs on the end.
When I first had a 4K monitor I bought one of each available from various computer Etailers and all worked faultlessly as did the one supplied with the monitor.
That said I did then source a cable which was Displayport compliance certified as soon as it was available, again this worked exactly as all the others.
Hope this helps

Hi guys I'm looking to buy a white 4k compatible dp cable and I've only found 1 that's says it is compatible, accell SKU: AC-DP-1110, one end has the mini dp so I would need an adapter also, can someone help me find one as this one is out of stock

There is but not to the one that works best?! A link to a product that people know works would be great!

Want to make sure i buy the correct cable or adapter.
