connecting a ipad through an iphone

just a thought is it possible to connect to the web on an ipad through an iphone 3g connection?

iphone- 3gs and a 4
ipad original- wifi version

This is exactly what I do on the iPhone 4 - Personal Hotspot. Works great too. You need it on your tariff of course (tethering) but other than that it just works, either via Bluetooth or WiFi.

Yup I do this too with my iPad2 and iPhone4. Hammers the battery on the phone over wifi though.

There are various 3rd party apps that allow you to do this also, I use MyWii or something like that. Only for emergencies though because as mentioned your battery just disappears.

will have to give vodafone a call and see if i have "tethering"

battery isnt an issue as its for in the car and theres a charger living in the glvoe box

Got this working with my iPhone 4 with Three. Very handy.
