Connecting a PC to a TV

You'll need an S-video to Scart connector to connect your video card to the TV. Also you'll need to get some sound cables, T-Jack at one and and dual connectors on the TV side. or leave the sound and have it come through your pc speakers.

Thanks for the quick reply, would I be able to pickup something like that from Currys or Dixions? Or is it more of a PC World job?

Looks like the back of my radeon 9500, i hooked up the second graphics output to my tv with the middle output hooked up to the s-video, however it doesnt work anymore cause i think i shorted it out :(

Why would you want 2 signal going to your TV - Pic in Pic ?

My mistake, i didnt mean the second output, i meant just the middle one

Most s-video cables are 4-pin, Ati's are normally 7 pin for, me thinks, enhanced s-video output.

1 GND Ground (Y)
2 GND Ground (C)
3 Y Intensity (Luminance)
4 C Color (Chrominance)
6 - -
7 V Composite Video
5 VGND Composite Ground

Generally the first four pins on those 7-pin connectors on the same places as the standard four pin S-video connector have practically always the same fuctionality as those pins in S-video connector.

do you not have the little cable that converts the gfx output from s-video to phono still? it usually comes with all ati gfx cards. if so then you can just buy a phono to phono cable for the video output and another 2 of these cables for left and right audio. have them plug into the ports on the tv or plug them into a wireless scart adapter and connect to the tv via that.
