Hi all,

I am moving to my University accommodation and was beginning to wonder how my internet connection would work. I have a BT Voyager 2091 wireless router and was hoping to use this at University.

I assume the accommodation will come simply with an Ethernet port on the wall, is there anyway to connect a wireless router to an Ethernet connection and get wireless access?

Thanks for any help

iirc you should be able to set it up as a wireless AP, just have a crossover to the router from the wall. but make sure that before then you set its IP address to be somthing different as if its got DHCP enabled you will have a conflict on the network and nothing will work

also the admins may come and kill you for messing up their network
