Hi all,

needing a bit of help if someone can. I've tried searching for the info i need but dont seem to able to find anything for the old style xbox's, just 360's.

I've dug my old xbox out and am now using it as a media centre (xbmc) but would like to be able to stream stuff too it. I cant get a cat5 into my living room without major headaches so would like to connect it wireless like! I've got a wireless dsl modem/router (Netgear DG834PN bought from here) that works just fine with the wired network and my laptop.

I've also got an old (and fairly terrible) Buffalo airstation G54 (whr-g54s) that says it can be used as an access point but theres a couple of problems

1. I'm clueless with anything wireless
2. The buffalo instructions are, at best, dire
3. I'm clueless with anything wireless
4. See 3

Hope you get the picture :p

So, can anyone help out with some advice on where to go? Am I wasting my time trying to get this buffalo airstation running as an access point and am I even going in the right direction?

Thanks in advance - hope someone can remember far enough back to the days of old xboxs :p
