Ok iv seen a few threads about this but none have really helped me in the past, and i dont really want to go and buy a 54GL for £40 when god knows how long ago it was when i ordered my parents one for £30..
Iv got a wired linksys router, its pretty solid, no problems.. and id like to plug my wireless-b linksys router into it, just so i can hav a bit of freedom with my laptop iv recently bought..
Why dont i just use the B as the router..?? well, because its pretty rubbish, it was a factory-repair and sold as b-grade, its very unstable, crashes a lot when put under the strain of being the primary router, though im fairly confident it could manage the little bit of use it would get through wireless from my laptop.
Ok so i need to set up static routing on the wireless linksys, do i need to do anything else on it, or the other? and how do i get static routing to work, im just at a brick wall with it, just cant seem to do it :|
Im not stupid, but im fairly tired and i miss things when im tired.
Would have thought just enabling uPnP on both would be problem solved, but the wired now crashes and demands a password when uPnP is activated, i think it becomes corrupted as the default pw doesnt work any longer .. =/
