I've got to the point of wiring the front panel switches and indicators up to the mobo, and I'm heeding Abit's warning:

Watch the power LED pin position and orientation. The mark “+” align to the pin in the figure below stands for positive polarity for the LED connection. Please pay attention to connect these headers. A wrong orientation will only cause the LED not lighting, but a wrong connection of the switches could cause system malfunction.

Well I think I understand that ;)

Looking at the Antec leads, there are two ways to judge the orientation:

1) the printed descriptive text .. i.e. "PWR SWITCH".
2) a small 'S' which is moulded onto the plug, aligned with one of the pins.

Obviously that 'S' is probably the one to go with - I reckon it should be the indicator for + or - ... but which???

Any help greatly appreciated,

cheers in advance

Just in case anyone else finds this thread if they're in a similar position (confused!) the best hints I've found are:

Switches - power and reset - the polarity doesn't matter

LED's - the polarity matters, but getting it wrong doesn't do anything bad, just switch 'em if they don't work

Speaker - same as for LED's

Everything else (USB, sound card stuff, etc) must be the right way around, but likely the plugs only fit one way... so....
