I'm at a point where nearly everything in the TV cabinet needs an internet connection. I hate loads of wires and wireless is a pain for me, interference etc.

Will my plan of connecting all my internet capable kit to a switch be sucessful ? Just asking before I commit

I'm fully wifi at the moment. All setup, open NAT to 360 and ps3, so i'm happy with that. I just find transfer speeds over the network very slow. To upgrade my router to a "more capable" unit will cost me a bit of cash. Not to mention new adapters.

So £20 on a switch and few quid on cabling is a good option. And I do like the security of hard wires.

Another thing about my wifi is that it interferes with my TV sender !

Yeah, have a switch in the cabinet and then just a single network cable to uplink to your router.

Only thing to note is that all devices will be sharing that uplink bandwidth to the rest of your network, but chances are this won't cause you any issues.

Aye prolly not an issue. Very rare for all bits of kit to be used at same time.
