connecting DVD recorder to sky+

Hi,
Can anyone pls tell me if this is the correct way to connect my dvd recorder to my sky+? My dvd recorder is Sony RDR-GX120.

Sky+ box
Scart goes into VCR scart on the sky+ box

DVD recorder
Scart goes into line 1,tv scart

When I try to record stuff from sky+ onto a dvd-r I don't get any sound,but the picture quality is very good.

Any suggestions pls?

I've just got the Sky Box looped through the DVD-R to the telly via:

Sky (Ext1-out) ---> (Ext2-in) DVD-R (Ext1-out) ---> TV (Ext1-in)

the DVD routes the signal (RGB) to the telly from SKY even when recording from its built in Freeview!...

No Probs with Sound/Vision!

Remeber, EXT2 on the Sky+ box only outputs Composite video.
