I have a passat 1.8t (2001), and i would like to connect my ipod via the headunit (VW standard), ive tried cassette adaptors and fm tuners in the past, and the quality is horrid to say the least.
Ive come across the 'dension unit', and it sounds promising. Anyone know if this sounds like cd quality?, halfords have said they will charge to have it fitted all inclusive of £150..
any good?, do i have any other options...
Ta.

i quite like the original vw headunit, i see where your coming from by adding another £50 and investing in something else. But im looking to keep it simple, which is why im keen on the dension icelinl, but not too keen on the £150 pricetag :D

ive just had a look at that unit, cant really see whats so special, and differnt from my vw original?
also cant see how i would connect the ipod..extra cost?

i know nothing about fitting, or cars for that matter..so even halfords would do a better job i reckon :D

well, have had a rethink. My thinking is if im planning on spending £100 on the icelink, might aswell spend a bit more on a new headunit.
I have a mate who can arrange fitting of a headunit for me.. So, requirements are: should be a cd player, preferably cassette and connection to ipod too. I can stretch to £250.
What are my options?
