Hi there, I own this speaker system and was wondering is it possible to connect it to more than one device at a time?

I have it only connected to my pc at the moment, but would also like to have it connected to my ps3 and tv, is this possible ?

Thanks in advance

Yes.

You can have simultaneously:

1 - 1 x Optical, 1 x 3-pin analogue surround sound, 1 x standard phono connection, 1 x digital coax connection

2 - 1 x Optical, 4 x standard phono connection, 1 x digital coax connection

I actually have 2 devices connected to optical via a £0.50 optical splitter that works perfectly as long as only one device is on at a time, i.e. PS3 and 360. Also, your phono devices can use dolby PLII for surround sound.

I have: PS3 and 360 connected via optical, TV connected via a phono input (with the Wii passing sound through the TV) and a phono port for my iPod.

Hope that helps.

Right cool, I'm not really up on the lingo.

But if i understand correctly i can do the following.

I think my PC is connected via "1 x 3-pin analogue surround sound"

So that leaves me with the optical and coax free, so i can get a splitter for the the optical and run my astro A40's and my ps3 of that one connection?

then is there anyway to connect the coax to my tv ?

There are 4 phono input ports, you will be using the rear 3 for your PC and the side one for your TV.

Astro a40's are headphones aren't they? In that case you'd connect the PS3 to the optical and the astro's to the headphone out port.

Ah rite, I've had this speaker system for years and never noticed them ports on the side lol.

The astro a40 are headphones but they come with a wee mixamp that can be connected to the ps3 via optical lead, so i would like to run that off the ps3 and then have the z5500 connected to the ps3 aswell, pretty sure you've already answered this via an optical splitter.

Thanks for your help
