I just started up my new MacBook and setting up my wireless connection.

When I select my NetGear it asks for a password... I set my router with WEP and a passphrase "Bapoh". Is this the password?

I tried that, the ISP password, the passphrase Key no.1 e.t.c

Bah, any ideas anyone?

If you're using WEP, you'll probably need to give it the hex string that you generated using that passphrase.

Or better still, get rid of WEP and use the (much more secure) WPA-PSK, and have a passphrase that isn't a string of hex.

I tried that, both in caps and smalls.

:/

Edit: my mac kept saying "there was an error connecting to network" :(

I managed to sort it out!

Had to change the "WEP" to "WEP 128bit / 40 Hex" in the Airport settings, by default it's at only "WEP" setting.

Able to access net now, woohoo!
