Hello,

I have this mixer: http://www.musicarius.com/catalog/images/AM240-1-M.jpg

I also have these old ameture cd decks, which could actually come in useful aspecially with the 2 speakers they have.

http://www.homemix.com/KIT3_Main.htm

Now, i need a way of connecting the mixer (which is connected to the pc) to the cd decks for me to use the decks speakers when i listen to what the artist has recorded to preview the work. Therefore saves taking the headphones out an putting speakers in and also gives us better sound

thanks (i know decks are crap, i dont care bout them)

Thanks bud, so for main i need these

By adding those an connecting the decks would the PC sound run through the decks speakers yea?, as the mixer is connected to PC via phono.

Also, if i bought some surround sound speakers could i also use those plus the decks speakers, if so please link to some examples on OCUK if you dont mind.

thanks a lot mate, nice of you to help

appreciate it a lot

OR, you could get a single stereo jack to jack lead and go from the headphone socket on the mixer to the line-in on the decks.

So many options :)

Know what, when i plug the headphones into that socket they dont get sound so they go into the pc an work fine. No idea why that is.

What would you do?

hey,

i have this cable now. without any luck apart from weird noises like 'wooooooommmmmmphhhhhh' this is what i have tried:

Putting the jacks from left of the pic (we will call them left and right) into 'main' onto the mixer and then 'right' into the phono in on cd decks.

doing this gives me weird noises but not the music my laptop is playing. I have the mixer going into my laptops 'headphone' jack via 'rec out'

i have also tried putting them in ctrl rm on the mixer then 'right' into output, phono in and also aux in on cd decks. what am i doing wrong?

thanks
