Connecting my PS3 to my pc speakers

I did a little research on this last week because I wanted to do the same. The only way to properly get 5.1 from the PS3 to the speakers, is if the speakers have an optical input - which many PC speakers don't (I don't know about your one).

You can plug them in using the RCA leads that come with the console but that would only give you stereo. If the speakers have optical in then use the optical on the PS3, if it doesnt and your PC is close the sound card may have an optical input you could use to pass through to the speakers for 5.1.

nope, unless you what the front channels copied over to the rear channels. ie, not surround sound at all.
