connecting My Ruarks to pre outs

Hey all could someone tell me please how this works with pre out amps please to say my ruarks mr1's are connected to M/F V90 DAC via the 2 rca at the back of the DAC and then going to the Aux input of my speakers. Now if i get an headphone amp with pre outs how do you use your speakers with the DAC with it only having L and R RCA inputs at the back of the DAC. If pre out headphone Amps let you connect your active speakers then does the headphone amp become the amp for the speakers? and if so i dont think its a good idea could they blow lol

The pre-out of the magni 3 is a variable line-out signal, so it can't damage the speakers even on full volume.

Best way to set them up is to set your preferred volume using your headphones and then set the volume on the speakers, without adjusting the volume of the amp, to your preferred speaker level - that way you won't get any loud surprises when switching.

Do my Ruarks still use the DAC then even though there connected to the pre outs on the Magni? ill normally have my windows volume on Full and adhust speaker volume anyways via the remote on my Ruarks Id proberly do same with the Amp

Yes. The line out on the headphone amp just allows the incoming signal to be passed on to another device; usually speakers.

If the headphone amp had no line out, then you'd have to use another device to connect both headphone amp and speakers to the DAC; most likely a switch of some kind. Far easier when there is a line out.
