I have had this TV for nearly 5 yrs and so far have got it connected to net via Power plugs and Ethernet cable - That has given me iPlayer and ITV Player - What I can't do is connect it to my PC - been trying on and off for the last year or so - Last night I nearly got there - Go into menu go to network and there was my computer "Dave-PC" - clicked it and up came music/photos/videos - Yippee - They turned out to be Samplers that Microsoft puts on.

I can't see any of my music folders/files - A heading does come up Dave-PC - AIMP3 but there is nothing in there.

I have poked and hoped on changing ip address's and trying to get them same but not sure which ones should be same - Tried auto connect and it say's it's connected but nothing works - Updated firmware on TV - no go.

So really I have run out of idea's - when I calm down a few days later I go back and have another go but can see this job seeing me out.

I have read words off page of TV manual - it's so dog eared even dog won't go near it.

Any hints and tips please

To be honest I don't think I would listen to music anyway - it's just a project and learning curve - Got Surround amp for music - not connected to net though.

If you can access the shared media that Microsoft includes with Windows, you need to set up the folders on your PC containing the media you do want to also be shared. You can do it in WMP IIRC.

God ! - I understand now it's pointed out - I thought I would just be able to browse my PC. Duh!!
