Hi guys!

Got my new TV, problem is my two scarts are taken up by my Skybox and DVD player. And then there is a scart travelling between the two.

Is there any way i can plug my XBOX in? I dont have my red/yellow/white cable just the Joytech gold plated one, can i get a component lead or something like that to get it going? Or is there a way to rig it through my DVD/Skybox??

Cheers!

Your Sky box should have a SCART IN on the back, you can pass it through that.

You can get component output for the Xbox, but I think that involves a soft mod and the cable from the US, which I can't really go into on here, so wont.

Also, you may have an S-Video input on your TV, so you can get an S-Video cable for the Xbox.

Thanks, i think the digibox scart is taken up by the DVD player though.

I like the sound of this S-Video cable, people seem to praise it up!

Whats the availability like?

Cheers.

You can use the component cable with a UK box with no problems, you just can't use the HDTV modes in games and you might need to import the cable if you want an official one. My telly has only one scart, so my Xbox has been hooked up like that since forever.

Excellent, you dont know the product name/number of the cable you have do you? Or if its not a competitor could you tell me where you got it?

Thanks.

Have a look at the auction sites, search for Xbox Component, and look in the Xbox 1 section (not the 360), I'm sure those cables should do what you need there. Failing the component option, you always have the S-Video option, it's generally a little better than Composite, but not as good as the Advanced RGB SCART cable.
