Have just built a friends PC for him and having trouble connecting the PC to his amp. He is running one of these boards with the standard realtek drivers

Now when i connect the pc to the amp with a stereo jack i cant get any noise. So which one of the six connectors on the back is the headphone socket? Or do i have to hook up the front panel connectors to get a headphone socket in order to connect the pc to amp?

Forgive me for suggesting the obvious, but just try them all till one works. Btw there isn't usually a seperate headphone socket on the motherboard rear panel, you're just looking for the front left/front right channel stereo output, which is also where you would plug in headphones. If they are colour coded it should be green.
